Weekly Group Rides (seasonal)

Montgomery Cyclery offers many different group rides which typically run from late spring through mid-fall. The rides vary in distance and have different weather requirements. All rides are independently run by various Montgomery Cyclery staff. To make sure that you do not miss out on any ride communications, please reach out to the ride contact person below to get on their listserv. If you do not notify the ride leaders that you are joining, you may miss the ride departure.

Wednesday Evening MTB Ride w/ Western Hills

When: 7PM - Weather Permitting. Check Mitchell's Facebook profile picture for up-to-date open/close status. From May-September, Night Riding is permitted by the park on Wednesdays until 11:00pm. Gates will close at 11:30pm.

Where: Mitchell Memorial Forest MTB Trail, Cleves, OH

What: 8-12 Mile off-road ride

What to Bring: Mountain bike, helmet, hydration, snacks, seatbag with spare innertube, inflation device and pocket tools.

Open to adults 18 years and older.

Saturday Morning Ride w/ Beechmont

When:  Between 9AM-10AM  Saturday mornings  - Weather permiting April - November. Rain & temps below 40 degrees cancels.

Where: Montgomery Cyclery, Beechmont location parking lot. 

What:  Ride with other cyclists. Learn techniques to safely navigate the roads of Anderson Township. Learn how to fix a flat. Review proper bicycle fit and riding position. Routes vary from 20 miles to 30 miles. Average speed 15 - 18 mph

NO ONE WILL BE LEFT BEHIND.

What to Bring:  Road bike, helmet, hydration, snacks, seatbag with spare innertube, inflation device and pocket tools.

Who Should Attend:  Anyone interested in learning how to ride country and city streets safely for fitness and for utility.  Adults 18 years and older.  Children under the age of 18 must be accomponied by an adult.

Saturday Morning Ride w/ Western Hills

When: 8:30AM Saturday Morning - Weather permitting - Wet roads or temps below 35 degrees cancels ride

Where: The Parking lot on East Harrison Avenue in Cleves - across the street from St. Joseph’s Church. This was the site of the old Taylor High School.

What: A medium paced group ride. Paceline etiquite is observed. Should be able to average 15+ mph -
35+ miles with shorter options - varied routes, rollers, hills some traffic - call for more info.

Sunday Morning Ride w/ Loveland

When: 9 AM Sunday Morning - Weather permitting - Wet roads or temps below 50 degrees cancels ride

Where: At the Loveland Store, meet in the parking lot on Karl Brown Way.

What: A beginner to medium paced group. Should be able to ride 20 - 25 miles, 10 - 12 mph. There is a more advanced group available. The beginner ride is a 17.5 mile loop with a moderate climb at the beginning, then rollers with some traffic.
