Famous for carrying Fabian Cancellara and Stuart O'Grady to victory in the grueling Paris-Roubaix, Cervelo's R3 offers world-class weight savings matched only by its incredible ride quality. Cervelo's rigid Squoval tubes, BBright bottom bracket and Smartwall optimization that adds carbon where it's needed most provide a crisp ride that rockets you forward under even the smallest amount of pedal power. The leaf-spring seatstays and vibration-damping of carbon smooth your ride whether you're gliding over fresh-laid tarmac or hammering over 100-year-old pavé with the world's fastest rouleurs. Plus, the R3 comes with a tapered carbon fork, 3T seatpost, and 3T aluminum stem and bar, SRAM's admirable Rival group and fast Fulcrum wheels so that you can finish off any race with corner-carving precision and a blazing sprint across the line.
Cervelo's BBright bottom bracket system asymmetrically widens the BB shell, therefore creating a larger bottom bracket area. This increase in size allows Cervelo engineers to enlarge the non-drive chainstay, down tube, and lower part of the seat tube for a dramatic increase in frame stiffness. These improvements, without an increase in weight, ensure that every watt you produce goes into forward motion.
For incredible strength and durability Cervelo optimizes the R3's carbon by adding special carbon stiffening plies to the sides of the down, head and top tubes, as well as extra layers to the bottom of these tubes. Kevlar is also used throughout the frame for even more strength.
The R3 features some of the most amazing seatstays on any bike. They are a true testament to the design skills of Cervelo's engineers. Because of Cervelo's Squoval chainstays, the seatstays only need to provide torsional stiffness. So, the seatstays act as leaf springs in the vertical plane for the ultimate combination of strength, comfort, stiffness and lightness.
Cervelo frames are covered by a lifetime warranty.

I bought this bike during fall 2011 with a nice end of season discount. It is a magnificent piece of art and engineering. Very responsive, you feel immediate power with every pedal. Surprisingly comfortable. Would recommend to anybody. In a 58cm, completely stock with shimano 105 pedals and plastic elite cages, weighs in at 17.09lbs

The fellows at Velocity did some great customization on this bike for me and I love it to bits! Very stiff but comfortable - all the power goes straight to the road! I could go on all day about how much I love this bike!

I have had my R3 for 8 weeks, and just shy of 1000 miles. I took it to the hills of south east AL and the bike flies up hills. It seems like every ounce of effort I put out goes right to the ground. It is very plush, and comfy yet very responsive and stiff. The fit is perfect and it fits me like a glove. It is so comfy and I almost want to drop a spacer off the bars. We added DA C24 clinchers and it climbs even better and responds instantly to effort I put out. Amazing bike! The Parmer road guys have been awesome and have spent the time and effort to get me the perfect bike for my riding, plus they have nailed the fit perfectly. Great guys (and girl) and they take great care of me. They are so awesome, that we went back and we bought my wife a nice upgrade to a Specialized Amira. Again, fit is perfect and it fits her needs and riding perfectly. I would not say price is a CON as you get a ton of bike for your money.
